When I have told a "gay" person that their lifestyle was a grievous sin, their responses have many times been, "well, no one lives without sin and yet all have a chance to eternal life."  Some have even quoted that the wages of sin are death no matter what sin it is.  So if the imperfect man that is not gay has a chance of eternal life, why does the gay man not?

I then tell them that all I know is that it is wrong and I get stuck with their analogy.  I feel a bit humbled because I know I am a sinner...I have back stabbed, lied, etc. at one time or another and a sin is a sin.  So what makes me think I am better off than the "gay" person?  How should I respond?

Christ addresses your exact question here:
Luke 13:2-5
"And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

As stated, those that commit sins be them small or great, will be punished. However if we do not cease from our own sins as Christ said, we will perish as well.
Romans 2:12 "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;" There is no difference between the "gay" sinner or the murderer, the thief or the liar for they all shall be judged by God. However the ones that TRULY repent will be given the opportunity to be united with God and Christ.
Acts 3:19 "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."
So true repentance does set apart the willing servants of God from the ones that deliberately disobey the commandments or makes excuses to continue to sin.
Proverbs 28:13
"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: [B]but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."[/I]
We are striving for perfection not using our weaknesses as an excuse to or justify our sins. This demonstrates the faith a true believer has towards God. This is the importance of Christ dying for us that we may be reconciled to the father because of our multitude of sins. But as Christ stated, we must cease from sin. All in all, one that is striving to be perfect surely outweighs the blatant disobedient.
Proverbs 24:16 "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief."
1 Cor 6:9-10 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

REPENTANCE sets us apart from the rest of the world.

well spoken brother. it's very easy to assume that just because we understand who we are that absolves us of our negligence to the law. Rom 3:9 states,

"What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God."

We have to be careful against putting ourselves upon a pedestal. We have no righteousness and all we call righteousness is filthy rags. Our righteousness is Christ's blood which we put on like a garment by repentence and faith. We must be very careful not to put our trust in the law and come into condemnation. Rom 2:17 states,

"Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, 18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; 19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, 20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. 21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? 22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? 23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? 24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written."

We must make sure that we don't look down upon others because in that act we bear the fruits of the flesh. The law is good if used lawfully not as a tool to put ourselves on a pedestal and to put others down. Cuz a homosexual can stop having sex with the same sex and be in compliance but if he can't love his neighbor it's all vanity. and if we don't do that we are non compliant as well. and the lord never gave us the law to keep it just for the sake of it being the law. We keep it out of love for God. PERIOD.... not just because it's in the bible. The pharisees kept the law but why? out of love for God or for another reason? this is the danger of resting upon the law because the Word states that if we are justified by the law then we are debtors to keep the whole law. We make a big deal about homosexuality but every last one of us breaks the sabbath. We make a big deal about the dietary laws but still can barely keep the 10 commandments. Feel me....

Not saying that you were doing that but i'm just speaking in general.

Sister you are correct to tell the homosexual that they are wrong and whoever else that does ANYTHING against what the Bible says. The scriptures also command us not to keep company with any one that does the things against God, willingly that is!. We are not yet perfect but we should be walking examples of the MH. People always use that sorry line "Nobody is perfect" in order to justify their wrong. What they fail to understand is that the MH is condemning them not us. And he is by far perfect. The Bible doesnt say to correct people only after you become perfect but just to follow the commandment and practice what you preach not being a hypocrite. And trust! people that want to do wrong will find any excuse they can find to cover their sins. All we can do is show people what is right and wrong.

Well spoken. I agree with all comments of truth, i'll only add this point to the topic
Isa 58:1
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
 
Our job as shepards and watchmen is to teach, show and advise our people of our transgressions whether their a homosexual, murderer, theif etc... The objective remains the same, judgement comes from the scriptures, it should not come from the individual. So with that being said of course we know the scriptures of the imperfect man
Prov 24:16

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away
But the scriptures tell you that we've been predesitined to teach this word. We've been choosen to be "ensamples" to the flock. We have to walk in Wisdom and Knowledge to those that are without (ISA 33:6).
1 Peter 5:3
Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
We have a duty to carry ourselves in a manner that represents the scriptures as best we can, sin thru ignorance can be corrected, willfully sinning is another story.
Heb 10:26
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
We never have a problem correcting and enlightening one that eats pork, ignorant of the Sabbath day, oberserving the Holidays of our oppresors etc.. A homosexual should be no different.  Their worthy of light and the kingdom but repentence is a must as Raim stated. There truly is no sin greater than the next (except when it comes to blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, Matt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. ) The difference is the penalty for the offence. In this case the Sexual ACT  of homosexuality is penalized by death, but let me also add that a person living that lifestyle also isn't worthy of the kingdom, an entire change (repentance) has to take place, from the lifestyle to the sexual relations etc..
1 Cor 6:9-10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

The scriptures make the judgement sista not you, me or anyone else. Our opinions don't matter the Word of the Lord stands grand.

Serious Taza Payan, Timeless indeed!! I was reading an article about the increase in homosexuals. I remember growing up and having no homosexual kids in elementary at least not an openly one and not worrying about a boy in a girls dress walking in to the girls restroom. Now its the new "Normal". "Hey everybody is doing it, so why not", Is how I feel the world thinks. Everyone in the world just wants to fit in the Grandparents, Parents, and the little kids. It's disgusting, pretty soon all our Israelite kids will need to be home schooled. These are quotes from the article.

@LAwSTands, those facts are sad but true. And I have also confirmed within myself, I will never be "Normal", and pray that it will always stay that way as long as I am with the MH.

GAY IS THE NEW NORMAL. KIDS IN MY SCHOOL THAT ARE NOT EVEN IN UPPER GRADES ARE GAY! I CANT BELIEVE IT! OUTSIDE OF MY SCHOOL THERE USED TO BE A BILLBOARD THAT HAD A WOMEN WITH UNDERWEAR THAT SAID LEGALIZED GAY . i CANT BELIEVE IT![mad]

IT'S WEIRD EVERYONE IS GAY . GAYS CAN'T GO IN THE KINGDOM .I LIKE THIS SCRIPTURE BECAUSE GAYS CAN'T INHERIT THE KINGDOM.MOST OF THEM GO TO CHURCH THINKING IT'S ALL GOOD.
